Nadiia Kichera is a political scientist who has been working at Uzhhorod National University, at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, since 2008, as a lecturer in the department since 2011, and since 2018 – as an associate professor.
Nadiia Kichera’s research contributions include her PhD in Political Science on the ethnopolitics of Central and Southeastern Europe, particularly concerning the Ruthenian community (2015). She is the author and co-author of a number of scientific articles, monographs, and educational and methodological publications, primarily on the protection and providing of the national minorities’ rights in Central and Eastern Europe and Ukraine, European integration, cross-border cooperation, and community governance.
Her advanced training in recent years includes various internships, primarily international, on the issues of national minorities and cross-border cooperation at the Slovak Foreign Policy Association, Matej Bél University in Banská Bystrica, Catholic University in Ružomberok, University of Prešov, Technical University in Košice, Hungarian Research Institute for National Strategy. She has also participated in various international projects addressing cross-border cooperation, European integration of Ukraine, VET education for rural communities and sustainable development, Ukrainian students’ integration in the European higher education institutions.
Her expertise covers the issues of ensuring the rights of national minorities, their integration into the socio-political space, European integration, cross-border cooperation and analytical issues.
