About the Participant

Maryna Deliusto is PhD, Associate Professor. Her research interests include dialectology, sociolinguistics, and language teaching. Since 2005, she has worked at Izmail State University for the Humanities in various positions. Since 2015, she has been an associate professor in the Department of Ukrainian Language and Literature at Izmail State University for the Humanities.

Associate Professor Deliustoʼs professional achievements include her PhD thesis “Grammar of Dialect in the Light of Text” (2010), textbooks for students of higher education institutions on Ukrainian dialectology (2012, 2016, 2017), morphemics and derivatology (2015), and grammar (2024, 2025) of the modern Ukrainian language.

Since 2019, Associate Professor Deliusto M.S. has been coordinating the activities of the Center for Ukrainian Language and Culture at Izmail State University of Humanities, where she has been teaching Ukrainian to representatives of national minorities in southern Odessa region (ethnic Romanians, Bulgarians, Gagauz, and Albanians) in free courses for six years.

She has also participated in various scientific projects devoted to linguistic diversity and minority languages, including: in 2008–2010, in a fundamental scientific project by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, “Literary Languages and Dialects of the Ukrainian Danube Region. Multilingual Atlas of the Dniester and Danube Interfluve”; in 2016–2018, in a fundamental scientific project by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, “Description and Mapping of the Space between the Danube and the Dniester rivers – a New European Model of Conflict-free Interaction of Different System Languages and Dialects”; in 2020–2023 – in the international scientific project “Contested Language Diversity – Dealing with Minority Languages in post-Soviet Ukraine” from Justus Liebig University Giessen (Germany).
